I haven't read anything in this thread about Try Street Yard.
According to PRR's "Industrial Map of the Pittsburgh Region" dated August 1924,
this was the name given to the freight yard east of the Panhandle tracks and
south of Forbes.
On the topographic map dated 1926 (or 1928, I'm not sure which) Try St. itself
existed immediately east of the line in two short blocks just north and south
of Second Avenues. In other words, the junction to the yard was at Try Street.
I'm sending Robert a couple of scans taken from these two maps, and will do so
for anybody else sufficiently interested.
