Ordinary steel pipe.  Gray was a neutral color.  Looks good with any other
paint scheme.

As long as you're wandering aimlessly ... would not have 40 Red Arrow type
Saint Louis cars have been nice for the interurbans ... adjusted perhaps to
add a spotting circuit so that dymamic brakes come on at full strength from
the get go instead of that lousy blending valve system that Red Arrow had?
Those Commonwealth MCB trucks ride like a dream compared to anything ever put
under a PCC when it came to rough track.  And the higher horsepower motors
might have allowed the railways company to shave more time of the interurban
runs (to make up for being stuck in traffic in Pittsburgh).  Oh, hell, while
we're at it, lets just build a subway into downtown Pittsburgh, and new rights
of way through Canonsburg, Monongahela and Charleroi.  Dreams are free.
