Pittway was originally the new 1964 name for PRCo.  It later became the name
of the Chicago-based holding company.  Until it was sold to Honeywell a
couple years ago, its stock symbol was still PRY.

PRCo's holding company was Pittway (as in PITTsburgh railWAYs), which
subsequently evolved here in Chicago as the smoke detector company (First
Alert).

The word "spray" may have added to the confusion because in the years before
PAT, PRCo owned a company called ("G.", I believe) Barr, a manufacturer of
aerosol cans.
