I'd guess that about half of the original McKinney Avenue trackage was
replaced with new rail when the north portion of the street (nearer the
carbarn) was resurfaced in 1999-2000. However, using the original rail made
it easier to get the trolleys running on McKinney Ave. again in the late
1980s.
