This website tip is a little offbeat, but it may be of interest to anyone interested in Pittsburgh neighborhoods, in particular Oakland and the East End.  There are some references to - and illustrations of - Pittsburgh trolleys, so we're on topic.

See  www.mcfaddensfunnies.com  and click on the "Read Current Issue" link.  It's a tour of Dave McFadden's Pittsburgh - past and present - in comic book style.  I haven't read the entire issue, but I noted that page 2 is about Lincoln Avenue and mentions trolleys.

Dave is a writer and artist whom I worked with at an advertising agency in Pittsburgh 30+ years ago.  Before that, we attended Duquesne University at the same time.

Remember, I warned you that it's a little offbeat, but Dave is a very creative guy.
