[PRCo] "Pittsburgh of the South"

Okay, so Birmingham, Alabama has been called the "Pittsburgh of the South"
for a number of reasons.

The general public related to all the steel mills and traction fans related
to all the car lines, especially those with lots of P.R.O.W.

But take a look at this Charles Houser, Sr. photo Charlie is offering on
eBay:

That roof mounted spot light outdoes anything PRC ever mounted on the roof of
an interurban PCC. It may not have thrown as intense a beam as PRC's Navy
surplus units, but it sure is one heck of an attention getter.

Thisreminds me of those old Speedrail photos where motormen apparently had
the option of mounting the headlight either on the dash or above the
windshield of their Curvesiders. :-)
