I know that they were building that bridge in 1958.  I was there on chartered
cars twice that year.  I don't think it was open when I was there in
December, but it might have been.  If memory serves me (and it doesn't do
well any longer), when they reopened Franklin it may have only been a rush
hour proposition.  A friend, Bruce Bente,  took some pictures on the bridge
with PCCs  ... maybe 1959 or 1960.
