In the Morning Sun book on the Pittsburgh region, the Johnstown system was covered and pix of the NEW Maple St. bridge are seen on pages 45 & 46. THe bidge was used for one year before the line was converted to trolley coaches. Bridge was constructed the summer of 1958 and opened ikn May 1959.It served until trolley operations stopped on june 11,1960. regular service was operated on this line in 1/2 hour headways, with extra cars operated during shift changes, with trolley buses taking over the entire operation. They operated on both the Conemaugh line and Franklin Line after Conemaugh was changed from bus operation, giving the same level of service to both lines. Trolley Coaches were last run Nov.1967. cheers rogertrolley
