I'd be sure it was a wholly-owned subsidiary, to be reported to DIA on West
Penn's P&L and transactions statements. The flood liability was likely all
gone by 1918, but there were other hazards, no doubt.
I really need to do the Westmoreland County Recorder of Deeds office! And
I'm only about 40% of the way through Fayette's.

According to the booklet from the historical society, the 1918 sale
was to something called "Olympia-Oakford Park Company".
Same source says the park had been closed for several years
"...during the war..." and in 1945 was sold to "a group of
investors".
I wonder, might the Olympia-Oakford Park Company have been a
corporation set up to shield West Penn from liabilities incurred by
operation of the park? Or even from suits arising from the 1903
flood?
