According to the booklet from the historical society, the 1918 sale
was to something called "Olympia-Oakford Park Company".
Same source says the park had been closed for several years
"...during the war..." and in 1945 was sold to "a group of
investors".
I wonder, might the Olympia-Oakford Park Company have been a
corporation set up to shield West Penn from liabilities incurred by
operation of the park? Or even from suits arising from the 1903
flood?
