The overhead was still intact on Washington into February--1954 when
the Museum Cars were moved to County Home Siding. Line car might
have helped in removing overhead!

Of the 3700s, 7-were scrapped in First-Quarter_1952 and 10-of the
3800s went at same time, yet the were officially taken out of service
in November-1950! Lag time between end of need and scrapping could
be Insurance to certify that the equipment was no longer needed.

Do you know the condition of the rail along E.Ohio in 1952? That
could have been part of the reason that trolleycars were removed.
Track could be used for occasional trips by work equipment but night
have needed replacement if regular revenue service were continued.
It was obvious it was going to be busted anyhow. Did the
Bankruptcy Findings and Recommmendations have anything to do with
busting 2- and 3-lines??

Have memories of riding the 2-Etna, vague, but still memories.
Short-turn wye on Dewey Street where long-time Family Friends lived
for Many Years. Not far from the loop, either!
