	Don't know about design-expectancy, but that is the way it
worked out on PRCo  --  PCCs were retired in about 20-years
time  --  Mostly because PCC-equipment was Not Needed after
20-years what with shrinking patronage.

	Could you please define  *initially*  --  what kind of
overhaul was this?    Would 1616s converion to 1776 be just
$30,000?    Seems it would be more, even in 1972 $$$$$$.
