[PRCo] Changed to Old Age Sucks

Mark and Derrick have a long way to go until they find out that the Golden Years are those in which the doctors and pharmaceutical manufacturers get all the gold. Most of the rest of us are old enough to have already recognized that life is downhill from age18.

Actually, spinal surgery is considerably less predictable than open heart surgery. Spinal surgery has a 20 to 30 percent failure rate (I think mine is successful at this point). Open heart surgery is probably 99 percent successful because the surgeons know in advance which cases will succeed and they can reject operating on the others. The surgeon who did my cardiac bypass operation told me he was a "good plumber and nothing more" and that he knew "which cases to accept."

I concur with hot showers. Hot showers also help with the enlarged prostrate problems.... I don't think I need to explain. Mark and Derrick: Remember it when your time comes.

Thanks to all those prayers and a good surgeon, I think I'll go back to the Swiss Alps again in August. I won't have to cancel that trip like I did the ERA tour to the Czech Republic this month. .
