This route was based in McKeesport.  The drawing in Ben Rohrbeck's
half-tome on the subject lists Wilmerding as a "storage car barn."  So I
guess there was a reason...just not the one we would normally think of.
They had to have some place to put the open cars eight months a year.

Was the McKeesport-Wilmerding line based in McKeesport or Wilmerding or
both.  Unless that ran out of Wilmerding, there is also no reason for
the existence of that carbarn.  fws
