Good Morning!

Actually, One PRCo Motorman told me about the Butterfly Windows.

And Please Note that Boris knew what they were when he posted a
corrected statement withdrawing his nomination of 100, 1000--1199
for Butterflies and correctly identifying the 14s and 15s for
same.

Cheeze__Whiz, Fred ---- you need to cheek the right
sources when writing -- at least *Tongue__In__Cheek.*

As mentioned in one of my other posts, the outer upper edge of
each front window was slanted to accommodate an air vent. And
if I am not mistaken, the Air-Vent itself might be considered a
*Butterfly__Vent??* That's a question! Have heard of
*Butterfly__Valve.*

And remember -- twasn't SLCCo who named 1600--Queen--Mary!
Probably PRCo employees.

At any rate, the front windows do vaguely resemble a butterfly.

As an aside, it was also a former PRCo motorman, then
({[pat]}) motorman who told me that the 16s were overhauled and
renumbered into the 1700-series to satisfy a fed demand to
overhaul 90++ 1700-series cars when the Sky--Gutterliner was
defeated in court. I *White__Flag* information like that
hoping to find confirming -- or denying -- facts but it was
30-years later when that statement was refuted on-list by
Mr.Swindler -- after 30-years I forgot my white-flag and was
believing it.

Could have been that ({[pat]}) was given money by the feds to
overhaul 90++ 1700-series PCCs and thus did the renumbering so to
do -- may not have actually been federal edict.

So it is easy to see how something like this can get started.

Boris has aluded to a discussion about *THE___First___PCC* on
another list and it is interesting that the losing party says:
"It really doesn't matter,...BUT"" and then goes on to make
statements to reveal that He Believes His City is the Winning
City.

	Goes to Show that:

1.>--	We Live in an Imperfect World, and this PCC
		Discussion is a good example of same;

2.>--	Truth Is Difficult To Pin Down.......
		In Spite Of The Facts!!!!!!!

3.>--	Also reveals that world revolves around
		Individual (by practice) as
		Individual wishes to believe
		personal understanding is THE
		Truth -- regardless of what
		facts might reveal.

As a result of this *THE___First___PCC* Discussion, Andy Young
is *Seriously* doubting the veracity of SLCCo record
keeping. It is an Imperfect World and I do Not Doubt that
there are errors in SLCCo record keeping -- even Doctored
Records. Doesn't change my admiration of the company and its
administration -- just reveals the humanity and fraility so
common to each and every one of us and how the same is magnified
when groups get together to form committees, companies,
goverments, etc., Etc., ETC.!!!!!!!
