Hey people,I found the perfect book that shows B-3 PCC trucks in all their naked glory. They are in the book called The History of the St. Louis Car Co. by Andrew Young and Eugene F. Provenzo Jr. printed by Howell North Books in 1985. I just remembered I had this book while searching for info on the Washington DC Transit cars I spoke of. Page 224 shows 2 views of the truck frame and another showing the entire assembly all by themselves with no car sitting on top. Pix of Pittsburghs PCCs are in this book too, including #100 and #1608 from the front showing the dash floodlights. 1700's appear on pages 245 thru 247. A couple show #1715 getting the sealed windows installed and when finished with its cowcatcher and roof headlight and mentions it is one of 25 cars for the Charleroi and Washington interurban lines. As an addition the book mentions on page 196 that #100 was in service 4 months before the Brooklyn cars were out in traffic !!!
