I've lost the thread here ... if this goes back to something I said about not having early trolley pictures from Western Pennsylvania lines ... I have never seen a railfan generated picture on the Windber line. I have seen builder's photos of the Kuhlman interurban cars (301-304). There was an aerial post card
or two of cars at the end of the line, probably taken from the roof of the nearby company store. (The coal company is gone but the building was still there a few years ago). I've seen a postcard of a car at the B&O station at Paint Creek. This is not to be confused with the village of Paint on the same line ...
Paint Creek was where the interurban came out of the creek valley, crossed the B&O, and then crossed the river (only to recross it again between Ferndale and Moxham). I have a picture of John Swindler holding my 8x10 and pointing down at the former B&O station platform that he unearthed from the fallen leaves (I
thought at the time he was hunting rattlesnakes with his fingers). There are pictures out there but I've never seen one taken by a railfan.

Birmingham was covered in the 50's in Railroad Magazine's Traction section as I remember seeing that but I believe Steve Maguire was the editor of that section wasn't he ??? cheers rogertrolley
