M452 and M454 are no longer extant. The former was burned by vandals at
South Hills Jct. in the early '70s; PTM took the residue for the trucks.
M454 came to the museum, also for parts, and was rendered a few years ago.
It was in deplorable condition from the years of outdoor storage.
PTM has M200(4140) in indoor storage, but would certainly entertain the
acquisition of 4145 if an opportunity arose. As I understand it, things in
Cleveland are up in the air, to understate it in a big way!

Ooops, I hit send before typing my reply. I am also "Bcc-ing" this to an
unnamed member of IRM for his take on this.

Maybe in the stew that outfit is in, they would allow it to return to its
home grounds. Maybe a trade for something else or monetary consideration.
Worth a try. They seem to be trying to get Cleveland to accept them as a
historic car operation as they have been running cars on the waterfront line
there.
I wonder how long a historic operation will last when bored teenagers start
carving graffiti into the woodwork, interior paint and glass? This is
already a problem at Orange Empire on their own demonstration railway.
As for trading cars with Trolleyville, there is one deal I'm aware of that
has been pending for nearly ten years. I have no idea why it's still tied
up.
When I suggested East Troy, Fox River or IRM approach Trolleyville for some
of their duplicate equipment, members of those groups suggested I was asking
them to loot a cathedral. How many identical Fox River light weights or 1945
CA&E coaches does one preservation group need? Okay, a train of steel CA&E
cars would be pretty impressive, but you can't m.u. the Fox River cars.
Is Trolleyville's Pittsburgh High Floor a single or double ender? I believe
it's number 4145. I know PTM has both M-452 and M-454. The way I understand
it (and I could be wrong) the former is slated for eventual restoration and
the latter is slated to be scrapped for parts. Kind of sad when you realize
that M-454 saw all that fan trip service during the 1960s.
