IIRC there was a Nike site on Troy Hill, I don't know where relative to
the carline.
Another interesting thing, AT&T links to the city came to Troy Hill and
then across to their building downtown. In the microwave era it was done
by microwave. In the fiber optic era, I don't know whose right of way it
followed, but by then Pittsburgh Railways was long since gone (and didn't
own the street anyway... and I suspect that unlike the one connecting to
my house their fiber wouldn't run on the telephone poles)
