Don't you just love the euphemisms that political types use!
The old line "which the authority closed because of the advanced
deterioration of the track bed, bridges, and signals." I think that means
that fixing it costs money and because local money is the real money, we
needed to shut it down until we could get the feds to pay for it.
There will be bugs in the track, signals, wire, and communications
systems. Is this what is called a preordained failure?
At least it will be running again. And I'm glad I don't have a name that
translates into whipping boy, such as Skoutelas.
And that north side extension. Why not extended it to someplace I really
want to go? How about the Garden Theater on West North Avenue?
