There are no original trucks extant for a 700, period. The set we have,
which is close, came from PRC 4039. The wheelbase is slightly shorter and
of course there is no provision for magnetic braking. But we have the
blueprints for the brakes if someone wants to get carried away!

I believe Lincoln's funeral car was destroyed.
The White House is not the same as Lincoln walked at night. It was gutted
during the Truman administration.
The floor of the Lincoln Law Office in Springfield is the same wood. It was
never replaced.
I do not think any of us are going to get to ride in a West Penn 700 at this
point. Many of us would love the chance, but the brake system is just too
hard to recreate.
Ed, are there original trucks for the 700's owned by Ed Mitchell?
