May the packing of the piston and slide valve rods and drain valves are
leaking because of improper maintenance! The same with steam heating
connectors.
And those scads of smoke, steam and noisy exhausts when train with steam
locomotive at its head is arriving at station platform, obviously free
running under regular conditions.
