One of the several reasons,Bob Rathke, for Lake Shore Electric demise was the desire of Cleveland Ry. to get rid of Clifton BLVD tracks,LSE's route in and out of Cleveland. One amazing fact was the Pres.Fred W.Coen insisted in 1932 that LSE could be saved,and continued running the line long enough for all the employees to be included in the Railroad Retirement Act of 1936!! The line lasted until May 15,1938.     cheers   rogertrolley
