Yes -- often rode through this while the bridge was removed and
replaced with a grade level crossing and eventually with traffic signal
which made the Interurban wait for considerable time! Used to make
the milk run on Sunday mornings with Isadore Reichert who dropped Sunday
papers at this location -- so I had company in the Railfan Seat!!!!!!!

This single track was used by both outbound (as in photo here) and
inbound cars. A crossover already existed inbound of this location
so it was easy for inbound cars to get back on the right track -- one
was cut in outbound of this location for a similar purpose.

It was Extremely UnNerving once the bridge was gone and the hillside was
cut out. Heading outbound a switch was cut into the mainline to
build this shoofly and immediately beyond the frog the rails of the main
were cut and it was a sheer drop -- never liked that but never any
problems here to my knowledge.

What was interesting was the *apparent* engineering behind this --
the double track main was built with a distinct dogleg which
straightened over time -- Years, in fact -- through settling of the
substrate!
