Hello Harold & List,
Now that we are living in the Light Rail & Heritage Trolley Age, I believe
it would be a delight for first and second generation traction (and transit)
fans to share a collected works of their personal experiences. Relating your
hobby & industry stories would be priceless works to read, study, and dare I
say, offer a true learning experience.
We know bits and pieces of some of the better known industry insiders (such
as yourself, Mr. Tennyson, Mr. Krambles) and we are blessed with the
opportunity to rattle the memories of fans such as Ed L., Fred the Third,
John Bromley, etc,.
I had the privilege of being an invited guest to Paul Weyrich & Bill Lind's
2000 Kenosha/IRM fan trips. The rides were fun, but the stories shared at
the dinner were wonderful. It was interesting to hear the personal thoughts
of these fans concerning the waning days of first generation traction
systems.
Has anybody thought about offering interviews to share their insights on the
industry, fan community, photography, etc. from those earlier times?
K.
