I worked for CTA during summer of 1968 and 1969 as a full-time temporary
employee. CTa hired about 900 college students each summer. Never drove a
bus before, and had never been to Chicago before - but had a great time -
and they even paid me - what a country <gg>

Worked out of North Park garage which had mostly Twin and Flxible propane
buses. But a friend from school worked out of North Ave, mostly late pm
runs. On several occasions, after finishing my run, would meet Dave and
take a round trip or two on his Marmon. And then there was the "fantrip"
when we took an ACF-Brill trackless for a spin around the northside of
Chicago. Let's just say - It's a long story.
