Why would it say Pittsburgh Railways Company??. That would have cost money
to change the name.

Try 'Pittsburgh and Birmington (RR)'

That's what turns up on the 1917 map

http://images.library.pitt.edu/cgi-bin/maps/showmap.pl?client=maps&image=16v06p09&levels=5&originx=984&originy=1117&lastlevel=1&fullheight=6900&fullwidth=9640&level=1&size=2&image.x=324&image.y=702

So how many different trolley companies operated on southside???? Looking
at 1917 map, appears that there was some competition to account for track
density. Or else P&B was trying to keep out the competition. However,
30th St. is only PRC carbarn that shows up in index.

Another question: So just what is the oldest surviving car barn in
Pittsburgh? (I'm clueless) Does anything survive???
