Ah! I may be slow, but I begin to perceive the reason for your expertise.

Gotta check your link.

In the past I've used MS Paint to make joins. Though in a case like this I can 
imagine that there could be minute discrepancies in scans that would blur the 
overlaps.

So, a question:

It looks to me as if the 62,500 quarter-sheets were probably scanned on an 
ordinary A3 flatbed. But an unscientific eyeball examination suggests that the 
50,000 quarter-sheets are too large to have been possible with single exposures 
this way. Any insights?
