Each nation or country has its own angle of view. That has to be obvious to
everyone. I still remember the way which our TV and radio presented various
events in the western part of the world.
As for the people in other countries who never left their town, there were
several specific reasons not to travel abroad for the people in the
communistic countries. First, our incomes were not high enough to spend two
or three weeks each year in W. Germany, France, UK or USA. The second reason
is that the communistic governments didn't want to let the people to see
some better aspects of life on the West and there would be always risk that
some of them would leave the Eastern bloc. Communists wanted to keep every
piece of information inside the eastern system. But we (people in central
Europe) have been always given considerably better geographical education
than some other nations.
