Thank You for the clarification!

Like you, we get BBC and DW tv  --  viewpoint is British // German 
slant!       Same would happen in France, etc.       There will be 
individuals in Any Country who know little of World Events as well 
people who are quite current  --  people are people no matter where we 
go  --  All Come From Human Mold!!       Possibly    M--A--N--Y      
people in European countries, esp. former Communist countries, who have 
traveled far less than American counterparts.

Just a difference in format  --  total content is where we need to look.

To continue with above, you have contact with  peers  on an educational 
level.       MANY  people in other countries below that level who may 
never venture out of their own town.

have seen this trend in other nationals as well.
