The Tan-PM news here in SF indicated that a wheel may have exploded 
which would allow the car // train to derail thus sideswiping the udder 
vehicle.       Good thing it was there or the accident could have been 
sorse  --  car // train drops off the El.

 From the picture included with the snooze the cars ride on top of the 
structure - not hang from it.       Have seen it, might have some photos 
of it, Not At All Interested in Monorail so couldn't say more.
