I am on  Not  A  Few  Transit  related lists    ----    everything 
concerning NOPSI on these lists has been  *-Speculation-*  to the point 
of absurdity and is another black mark against railfans.       While I 
staunchly defend Railfans  (and everyone on this list is a railfan by 
definition whether or not one actually admits to it)  the  NOPSI  
disaster is straining that defense.       Some lists have canceled All 
Talk about NOPSI until valid information is available.

As it stands now, the city of New Orleans is being evacuated which Has 
To Include NOPSI employees.       The effort currently is to reach out 
to the  People  who have lost so much and have to start over.       Then 
New Orleans needs to be cleaned up so it is healthy for people to be in 
the vicinity.       Some time after that rebuilding may begin  --  where 
transit fits into this picture is unknown at the moment.

I seriously doubt we need minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, 
even week by week details on what is happening to TrolleyCars in 
NO.       If anyone feels strongly about restoring the trolleycars 
there, then please pitch in and do so  --  but random speculation about 
what  *-they-*  should be doing to save these trolleycars is fruitless.
