BUT,
The wheels on 1713 show certain wear (!), so it is not days or weeks after
delivery, but months (half year +/-)!
Our track brakes last roughly 20 years before the friction bars (or pole
pieces on new type brakes) have to be replaced.
The reason why the front end is more worn is purely a statics question. The
balance of torque moments pushes the front end to the rail, while the rear
end is pulled off the rail. Didn't they reverse the brakes after certain
period to obtain "reversed" wear?
