It's unlikely that the landscape would have photographed totally colourless 
while 1707 would stand out in vivid, if approximate, PRCo livery. It seems 
evident that the somebody tinted the PCC on a b&w photograph. Tinting was a not 
uncommon skill back in the bad old days.

The two photos are not taken from exactly the same spot. Compare the line poles 
in relation to the Buick (?, Oldsmobile?).

On a related subject, I'm a little surprised at how many duplicate pictures 
Derrick is storing in these files - second copies of many, including these two, 
and no less than six of <Tylerdale 0096 195xxxxx RSchramm.jpg>. No problem if 
there is plenty of room, but possibly more than needed.
