  Pittsburgh severely abused their 1986 Siemans cars. The bus mechanics had no interest in keeping wheels of common diameter so they tore up the gears. No other Siemans user had that problem, exacerbated by monomotor trucks with four wheels per motor.   
    The rehab was no rehab.  They got all new trucks and four motored cars. Even so it was a stiff price,  Pittsburgh has no interest in running Light Rail well. A new manager is coming on board from Albany and Dallas    Maybe he can imporove things.
