Thank heaves the lawyers don't run the museum.   I think the average  
automobile weighing in at 1200 lbs. hitting the oak timbers on the  
side of that open car will end up being swept up into a dust pan.     
I don't think the average bear understands that a lightweight car  
like PRT 5326 or NOPSI 832 or West Penn 832 is a heck of a lot more  
fragile when hit from the side than that open car will be.    The  
side members on that steel car are a truss that holds the whole  
shebang together (much like a truss bridge) but they are very light  
weight and the whole side is only a couple of inch thick.   That open  
car probably has oak sills that are about a foot thick on each side  
because there is no structure above it that is supporting of any  
weight ... the sills have to support the entire car!
