The Railroad deck is lifted in the photos and this is the normal
position (except when a train is present, of course!) to allow vessels
to pass below -- larger vessels would need the upper deck to be lifted.

This kinda befuddles me -- why go to Portland, OR, U.S.A. (sub any
U.S.A. - Canadian location) to eat Moroccan food -- why is that such
a big draw? Why not go to Morocco? When I made a trip back
to the midwest in the early 1990s I stopped in Iowa and ordered what
Iowa was famous for -- Beef! Passed on the Prunes Also Listed on
the Menu!!!

San Diego -- maybe. I liked it in the 1960s Much Better!
Minneapolis has real charm but too isolated and too cold in winter.
Calgary is absolutely exceptional -- young, growing, dynamic.
Edmonton is nice as well but Much Older City. Vancouver is easy to
get around although locals complain about traffic in rush hours --
gridlock according to them.
