The History Center has 1724, which is anything but operational. It was
cosmetically restored for the purpose by Barr Cannon Body Co. in Meadow
Lands, then brought to PTM to be turned on our Arden Loop for proper
placement indide their building. I plucked it from its trailer upon arrival
with our #2, a former Philadelphia sweeper. We posed both 1724 and 1711 at
the loop for photographs, then brought 1724 over a pit, where certain
electrical apparatus was removed per agreement with the History Center.
Then the car went back up on the trailer and went to Pittsburgh. This
happened over two days, I believe, and I don't recall the year off the top
of my head, nor what was removed. It was mid '90s sometime.

In as much as there are no "active" or operating PCC street Cars in
Pittsburgh are there any of the PRC PCCs active anywhere, Also what Trolley
museums would one be able to find a car. I understand the Heinz Museum? in
downtown Pittsburgh has a refurbished car/ Any response
is appreciated.
