On trips to Pittsburgh in the 1990's, we stayed at the Knight's Inn in
Bridgeville, and at the various Red Roof Inns south of Pittsburgh along
I-79. Rates were reasonable, but the facilities were marginal. Things like
burned out light bulbs, lack of towels, etc. The same for most of the motels
on Banksville Road.
After 2000, we found much better, newer motels at the same rates on
I-79/US19 in Cranberry, and we decided that they were only a 20 minute
longer drive from the South Hills/downtown compared to the motels around
Bridgeville and Robinson Twp.
