Let's try these photos again.
Exporail at Montreal has an aisle lined on both sides with restored streetcars, interurban cars and work cars in it's main pavilion.  Outside there is a one mile streetcar line running around the property with MTC 1959 and open car 8.

A floorplan shows nine places in the Rails in the City aisle.  A year end roster lists 25 streetcars and interurbans and 13 locomotives. Among the unretored cars is  MTC PCC 3517. Also some cars are on loan to other museums.

Has any trolley museum restored a car as a non-operable piece of equipment?  
(restore it for public display, rather then part of the operable fleet?)  I 
wonder what the cost difference would be?
