Here is some information from another list ---- the URL below
lists a number of installations for a sound card that can be operated in
a variety of ways from wayside with Analog to full DCC operation from
the throttle:::
http://www.ittsound.com/hqapplication.htm
Check the wiring instructions for DCC configuration at this site. The
card (amplifier, etc.) is powered from the track. The decoder only
"rings" the bell.
I have so far purchased one card from these people. I chose the "trolley
bell" sound. You can sample all of the sounds offered at the web
site.. It is very good sounding and for a speaker I glued a Hallmark
greeting card speaker underneath a Corgi PCC. Speakers sold at the
website are much too big.
Yes, my lighting is on at all times. I like it that way.
Automotive dome lamp bulbs (tubular) work nicely up inside the Corgi
roofs. They can also light front roll signs if you buy the shorter
lengths (must mount crosswise). I am switching from white LED
headlights to 12 v grain of wheat with a resistor for headlights.
Red LEDs with resistors for tail lights need not be polarized. The DCC
track voltage behaves as AC to an LED.
I did get one surprise. The pseudo AC DCC track voltage would not
throw an Atlas switch machine. I had to use a less convenient AC
source. I was going to use a regular decoder for the switches
until this issue foiled me.

Hi Bob!
So you direct feed to lighting which is then always on.
Please detail your soundcards.
Do you control any other functions with the decoder?
