Then it may be something so simple as a stanchion on a PCC in the  
doorway that will not permit a portable ramp to fit into 1040.   The  
Philadelphia PCC at Arden was retrofitted with a center door  
stanchion that has a removable cotter pin that then allows the  
stanchion to be removed.   Once it is out of the way, a wheel chair  
lift can be rolled up to the center door and used as the manufacturer  
intended.   However, I think we also discovered that we could not  
call the car fully ADA compliant without cutting away part of the  
roof over that door because someone on the lift pushing a wheel chair  
in would not clear.   It's sort of a make-do arrangement.
