Most lrvs have lower acceleration rates than PCCs -- probably because
of the train capability and greater number of standees -- less
opportunity for fall on boards -- don't know that it goes to 3.0 but
3.5-mph/ps comes to mind.

Believe Muni used AC motors on the artic Flyer TrolleyCoaches but went
back to DC on the Bredas -- don't remember details and don't remember why.
.

Interesting that friend in San Jose wrote about new Metro East Barn
construction -- I wrote that I had seen the line but haven't seen
anything operating. He wrote back::: """Aha! Since it has been
discovered that we both have such a high level of interest in the
construction progress of the Metro East yard on Illinois, I hereby
submit this photo, snatched from an online post on the trainorders
website. Now we don't have to go there to see it in person!"""

.
I Geese if I get some of those RailFan type visitors from Out of State
I will then see this in person. But Udderwise, if I have only ridden
the F-line a half dozen times since it officially opened, I doubt I
shall see much of Metro East~!~!~!~!~!
