Thank you meteorologists Brannon and Lybarger. ;>)
One thing I know I can leave at home are the shorts.

On a North/South plot, Pgh is only approximately 70 miles south of Cleveland. Almost the same climate.
The growing season ended here early yesterday morning when the official temperature was 31degrees F. Today was the "last stand" for warm weather for a while here. It is now 70degrees F. Tomorrow, the high will only be 48degrees F. I always prepare for snow any time after November 10th in this part of the country. Sometimes it comes earlier, sometimes later. One of the worst snowstorms in history occurred on Thanksgiving Day, 1950. Cleveland had over 1 foot of snow and Pittsburgh was about the same. I was in Kindergarten then and had an 'extended' Thanksgiving vacation until everything got cleaned up.
The Fall and early Winter weather can change from decently warm to bitterly cold in the drop of a hat. Whatever path the upper air flow takes is what we get. Northerly Jet Stream equals very cold, Southerly Jet Stream equals warm.
I always take clothing that can be added to or taken away from without too much hassle. Commonly called "layering". Start with t-shirt, outer shirt, hoody, outer coat. Take off or put on what is needed. Don't forget gloves and cap if you think you may need them.
When I moved back here from Orlando it took me a year to get back into being able to stand the Winter without feeling cold all the time.
Ed can give his "forecast" on how Pittsburgh may be. I always find it the same as here.

Sounds good to me Ed. I have two questions before I make the trek from Florida. What temperature can I expect up there, both day and night? My blood is thin from living here in Florida for 20-some years.
And I'm a little worried about driving through the mountains in Virginia and West Virginia. Can snow be a possibility?
