Yesterday's SF Chron had an article about SF Muni where it indicates
Average Speed @ 8.1-mph is slowest in the nation! AC-Transit
(successor(?) to Key System across the Bay in Oakland) is 11.7 and
BeanTown is 16.9 - Well Over Twice that of Muni. This is obviously
comparing system to system but it would be More interesting to compare
Bus to Bus, TrolleyCoach to TrolleyCoach (Boston and SF), and rail to
rail except that Muni is essentially a streetcar system with a long
tunnel under Market while Boston has much El, subway, and totally prw lrvs.
