I remember Art's birthday cake at PTM last year. It set off the smoke alarms. Then came the problem of contacting the responders not to respond. (:>)
My earlier memory was from January 1971. The Ellis' lived near my parents house, and I hitched a ride with Art to Masontown on several weekends to help remove rail from Cat's Run Wye. I still haven't warmed up from that endeavor.
One of the pleasures of volunteering at PTM is to say "hi" to Art in the gift shop, and then chat a bit about the Railways.
