The Wells family has been painting the 739 body to make it  
presentable.   It is probably the first time the car has totally had  
any more than spot painting since the 1930s or perhaps early 1940s.

I never realized, Bob, just how huge those cars were until I stood in  
the end of that one in the blimp hanger at PTM and found myself  
looking out OVER THE ROOF of the PCC on the next track.

The original WP color was green but no one has ever proven what shade  
of green was used.   Just generic green.   (Sidebar time:  I have a  
friend who is a waiter in my favorite Chinese restaurant.   He works  
there just to be around people.   His other job is that of an  
artist.   I love to kid Sing Hua about the flowers in his  
paintings.   "What kind of a flower is that, Sing Hua?"   His answer  
is, "Just flower."   It's just color added to the canvas with a  
palate knife.   It's a generic flower.   And this is generic green.    
Nobody living today will ever know the difference if you paint it the  
wrong color.   Will they Rich?   Bob?   (Inside joke)  I think Ed  
once said the trim was silver.  )
