Correct the loop is not in the pix. It is further south.
We had cross burnings in the Charleroi area. Two Catholic brothers tried to join the Lock 4 Fire Dept while my Dad was pres. He had a "hard object" pressed in his back at a fire one night suggesting that the Catholic boys ought not join up.

  Don't all these photos look east?  That would put the loop off to the right
  and down a ways.

  The KKK was a lot more widespread than most people realize.
