Hey Jerry:

You happy with what you stirred up? You understand that John works
for PennDOT and has been very close to the scene of the crime since
about 1971 or 1972. I worked in federal (army), local (teaching)
and state (labor and industry) government for 36 years starting in
1958. The two of us happy clowns know how it functions and we
sometimes play good cop, bad cop with each other on the list.

John has forgotten more than I'll ever know about the inner workings
of the agencies in Pennsylvania and I still know one hell of a lot of
history. John is the guy who processes the checks for the senior
citizen subsidies to all the transit agencies in the state. John
also understands the federal government. He is a served over 20
years in the marines and army reserves and retired after Desert Storm
with the grade of Major. But John never blows his own horn.

I understand that when one of the upper echelon people from PennDOT
showed up at PTM a month or so ago, he saw John and went through that
same problem I have ... I know this guy from somewhere but he isn't
where he is supposed to be so I can't recognize him. Then it dawned
on him that the motorman was one of his own employees from
Harrisburg. Did I get that story right, John?

Fred-3
