It's a game of percentages, just like so many other things.  There is a percentage of the public that will play the lottery.  There is a percentage that will visit casinos.  There is a percentage of PTM visitors that will join PTM.  

 

But yes, I can't see how the cruise lines make a profit on us, on a micro basis.  (:>)  But we are just part of the mix on a macro basis.  Everyone is different with different interests, and if the cruise line can fill the ship, there will be a percentage of gamblers and drinkers.  

 

And we too have used local transit systems, both cruise ports and elsewhere.  It's amazing how many people working in the transit industry are unaware of public transit options in other cities.  FTA employees going to a training class in Atlanta didn't know that MARTA serves the airport.
